Former Homicide Assistant District Attorney Joseph McGill, who prosecuted Mumia Abu Jamal in the original case and has been at the side of Maureen Faulkner, and the Phila. law enforcement community over these years, consistently refuting the lies and half-truths put out by the defense, is being honored by the Southeast Police Chiefs Assoc. on March the 8th 6PM at the Sheraton Society Hill at 2nd & Walnut Streets, as their "person of the year". Tickets are $75 which includes valet parking, three hours open bar, sit down dinner of filet mignon or salmon, music and dancing, all taxes and tips etc.
Joe has also successfully prosecuted two other killers of Phila. police officers. One of which is the infamous Joe -Joe Bowen.
In addition, at this gala, the Southeast Police Chiefs will be installing "one of our own", Lieutenant Thomas Clarkson, as the president of this prestigious organization for the year 2008. Please come and support and congratulate Tom and Joe, two loyal and true friends of our law enforcement community.
